Konstantin Scherbakov

Konstantin Scherbakov, the Russian-Swiss pianist, is a virtuoso whose profound artistry and technical brilliance have captivated audiences worldwide. Born in Barnaul, Siberia, in 1963, Scherbakov was a child prodigy, debuting with an orchestra at a young age. His international career took off in 1990 with solo recitals at the Chamber Music Festival of Asolo. Renowned for his extraordinary repertoire, Scherbakov has recorded over 50 albums, including the complete solo piano works of Godowsky. A champion of Rachmaninoff, he has performed all of the composer's piano works and won the first Rachmaninoff piano competition in 1983.
