Fukuda Shin-ichi is a renowned classical guitarist whose virtuosity and artistry have captivated audiences worldwide. Born in Osaka in 1955, Fukuda began his musical journey at the age of 11 under the tutelage of the late Tsuyoshi Saito. His dedication led him to Paris, where he studied at the prestigious École Normale de Musique de Paris under the legendary Alberto Ponce, graduating with top honors. Fukuda's breakthrough came in 1981 when he won the Grand Prix at the Paris International Guitar Competition. Since then, he has performed extensively as a soloist, collaborating with major orchestras and fellow virtuosos, and has released over 80 discs. Beyond his performing career, Fukuda is also a respected educator and juror at prominent international guitar competitions. His dynamic stage presence and technical mastery continue to inspire both fellow musicians and enthusiasts alike.
