Sung-Won Yang is a renowned South Korean cellist celebrated for his captivating performances as both a soloist and chamber musician on the global stage. With a distinguished educational background, he studied under the esteemed Philippe Muller and Janos Starker, honing his craft at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and later serving as an assistant to Janos Starker at Indiana University. Yang's artistry shines through his performances in prestigious venues worldwide, showcasing his deep musicality and technical prowess. He plays the exquisite PETER INFELD ® Cello, known for its superior sound quality. Beyond his performing career, Yang is a dedicated educator, currently serving as a professor of cello at Yonsei University's School of Music in Seoul and as a visiting professor at the Royal Academy of Music.
