Reinier Baas is a dynamic Dutch jazz guitarist and composer, celebrated for his idiosyncratic approach and diverse musical output. Born in 1985, Baas graduated with the highest honors from the Conservatory of Amsterdam and further honed his skills at New York's Manhattan School of Music. His discography spans 11 critically acclaimed albums, showcasing a wide range of styles from traditional jazz to free jazz and beyond. Baas is known for his collaborative spirit, having worked with notable artists such as Gregory Porter, Dave Douglas, and Hans Teeuwen, as well as forming a longstanding musical partnership with saxophonist Ben van Gelder.
