Ramon Humet

Ramon Humet is a celebrated Catalan composer, born in Barcelona in 1968, whose music spans a diverse range of genres including vocal, instrumental, electroacoustic, and stage works. He has garnered international acclaim, winning prestigious awards such as the Olivier Messiaen International Composition Prize and the Queen Sofía Prize for his composition "Escenas de pájaros." Humet's compositions often feature the shakuhachi, a traditional Japanese flute, reflecting his unique artistic vision. Beyond his composing career, Humet is also a dedicated educator, serving as a professor of composition at the Conservatori Superior del Liceu since 2009.
