Rafael Kubelík

Rafael Kubelík, a renowned Czech conductor, violinist, and composer, left an indelible mark on the classical music world. Born in 1914 in Býchory, near Prague, Kubelík was the son of the distinguished violinist Jan Kubelík. His musical journey began in Prague, where he honed his skills before making his U.S. debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 1949.
