Pop Workshop

Pop Workshop was a dynamic jazz-funk fusion group that briefly but brilliantly illuminated the Swedish music scene in the early 1970s. Formed in 1973 by the Polish émigrés Wlodek Gulgowski on keyboards and Zbigniew Namysłowski on saxophone, the band was a melting pot of international talent, featuring Swedish guitar virtuoso Janne Schaffer and a rotating cast of top-tier musicians. Despite their short-lived existence, Pop Workshop released two influential albums that showcased their unique blend of jazz, rock, and funk, leaving an indelible mark on the progressive music landscape. Their music is a testament to the power of fusion, seamlessly weaving together intricate compositions with electrifying performances, making them a must-hear for any fan of innovative and boundary-pushing music.
