Paweł Mykietyn

Paweł Mykietyn is a celebrated Polish composer and clarinetist, born on May 20, 1971, in Oława. Recognized as one of the most esteemed mid-generation composers in Poland, Mykietyn has made significant contributions to the music world, both as a performer and a creator. He studied at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw under the renowned professor Włodzimierz Kotoński. Mykietyn's work extends beyond composition; he has served as the music director of the Nowy Teatr in Warsaw since 2008 and is a member of both the Polish and European Film Academies. Known for his evocative and emotionally resonant music, Mykietyn has crafted scores for numerous productions by the acclaimed director Krzysztof Warlikowski. His compositions, such as "Concerto No." and "Cztery Preludia," showcase his unique ability to blend technical mastery with deep expressive power, making him a standout figure in contemporary classical music.
