Otfried Preußler

Otfried Preußler, born on October 20, 1923, in Reichenberg, Czechoslovakia (now Liberec, Czech Republic), was a beloved German author of children's books. His enchanting tales, inspired by the folktales of his region, have captivated young readers worldwide. With over 100 books to his name, Preußler's works have sold more than 50 million copies and have been translated into 55 languages. His most renowned creations include "The Robber Hotzenplotz," "The Little Witch," and "Krabat and the Sorcerer's Mill."
