The Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana (OSI), based in the picturesque city of Lugano, is the sole professional orchestra in the Ticino region and one of Switzerland's thirteen active orchestras. Founded in 1935 as the Orchestra della Radiotelevisione della Svizzera italiana, OSI has since evolved into a renowned ensemble, captivating audiences with its exceptional performances. Their main season features ten concerts between autumn and spring, showcasing the greatest names in the international music scene. OSI is also known for its three principal series in Lugano, including "OSI al LAC," which takes place in the Sala Teatro del LAC.
