Marilyn Rife

Marilyn Rife is a versatile American multi-instrumentalist, renowned for her mastery of the marimba, keyboard bass, and percussion. With a distinguished career, she formerly served as the Principal Percussionist and Assistant Principal Timpanist with the San Antonio Symphony Orchestra. Currently based in Philadelphia, Marilyn's musical journey began with a graduation from the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy, followed by a bachelor's degree from Oberlin. Her work spans classical and contemporary genres, including captivating collaborations with Alice Gomez and the Latin folk group Marimba Quest. Marilyn's enchanting compositions, such as "Flute Song" and "Mayan Lullabye," reflect her deep connection to Native American music, offering listeners a rich and immersive auditory experience.
