Malmö Symphony Orchestra

The Malmö Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1925, is one of Sweden's premier orchestral ensembles, renowned for its wide-ranging musical footprint and international ensemble of players, conductors, and guest artists. Based in Malmö, the orchestra has been resident at the acoustically outstanding Malmö Live Concert Hall since 2015. Comprising 94 musicians, the MSO has been dedicated to symphony orchestra concerts since 1991, after previously serving as the orchestra for the Malmö Opera and Music Theatre. Under the leadership of principal conductor Marc Soustrot since 2011, the Malmö Symphony Orchestra performs a diverse repertoire, from timeless classics to innovative new works, offering audiences a rich and versatile musical experience. With a commitment to both traditional and contemporary pieces, the MSO continues to captivate audiences with its high international standards and collaborative spirit.
