Jörg Demus

Jörg Wolfgang Demus, an Austrian classical pianist and composer, captivated audiences worldwide with his virtuosic performances and extensive recordings. Born in St. Pölten in 1928, Demus began his musical journey at the tender age of six, eventually studying piano and conducting at the Vienna Academy of Music. Renowned for his chamber music and lieder accompaniments, he collaborated with legendary artists such as Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau.
