Johann Friedrich Meister

Johann Friedrich Meister, born circa 1638 in Peine, near Hannover, was a German composer and organist of the Baroque era, known for his expressive and technically demanding works. Meister's life remains somewhat shrouded in mystery, with little known about his early years. However, his musical prowess led him to significant positions, including serving as the organist at the Marienkirche in Flensburg from 1683 until his death in 1697. One of his most notable works is the collection of trio sonatas titled "Il giardino del piacere," published in 1695, which showcases his mastery of the genre and his ability to create intricate and engaging compositions.
