Gleb Pyšniak is a celebrated cellist, renowned as one of the most prominent of his generation in the Baltic States. Born in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 1987, Pyšniak began his solo career at the remarkable age of 14, debuting with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Professor Saulius Sondeckis. Since then, he has graced the stages of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Vienna's Musikverein and Amsterdam's Royal Concertgebouw. Pyšniak is a laureate of numerous international competitions, such as the Karl Davydov IV International Cello Competition and the Antonio Janigro International Cello Competition. His discography includes the album "Legendos," which features a collection of Lithuanian classical compositions, and "Exclusively Piazzolla," showcasing his versatility across different musical genres. Beyond his solo career, Pyšniak is also a dedicated educator, serving as a lector at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater.
