Gijs Leenaars

Gijs Leenaars, born in 1978 in Nijmegen, Netherlands, is a renowned conductor with a rich musical background. He began his musical journey at the tender age of six, learning piano from the esteemed Frieda Schils. His academic pursuits led him to the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he honed his skills in piano, choral direction, and singing.

Leenaars' career has seen him take on significant roles, including serving as the artistic leader of Bachkoor Holland and Capella Frisiae. His conducting prowess has also been recognized by the Radio Chamber Philharmonic and the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, where he served as an assistant conductor.
