Garrett Fisher

Garrett Fisher is an American composer and artistic director of the Fisher Ensemble, known for his innovative and genre-defying works that blend opera, dance, Indian raga, and Japanese Noh theater. Born in 1970, Fisher has created over a dozen opera-theatre productions in the US and Europe, earning a reputation for his ritualistic intensity and unique fusions of musical styles. His notable works include "The Passion of Saint Thomas More" and "Moon in the Bucket," based on a 14th-century Noh play. Beyond his musical career, Fisher is also a command pilot with extensive flight experience and a former CrossFit athlete and trainer. His diverse interests and experiences enrich his compositions, making him a truly multifaceted artist.
