Eiji Oue

Eiji Oue is a renowned Japanese conductor, born on October 3, 1956, in Hiroshima. His musical journey began at the tender age of four with piano lessons, and by 15, he was already immersed in advanced studies at the prestigious Toho Gakuen School of Music. Oue's career has been marked by significant achievements, including serving as the Music Director of the Osaka Philharmonic from 2003 to 2011 and the NDR Radio Philharmonic. Currently, he holds the esteemed title of Conductor Laureate for both orchestras. Known for his dynamic interpretations, Oue's work spans a wide range of classical genres, from the lyrical heights of Richard Strauss to the witty charm of Leonard Bernstein's compositions.
