Eduard Abramian

Eduard Abramian, born in Tbilisi in 1923, was a pivotal figure in modern Armenian music, renowned as a composer, pianist, and educator. His journey began at the Tbilisi State Conservatory, where he was identified as a prodigious talent and studied under the esteemed composer Sergei Barkhudaryan. Abramian's compositions, notably his 24 Preludes for Piano, showcase his unique blend of Armenian folk influences and contemporary musical language, creating a rich and evocative listening experience. Beyond his creative output, Abramian's impact as a teacher and mentor at the Yerevan State Conservatory solidified his legacy in Armenian musical education.
