Demetrius Polyzoides, a virtuoso violinist and violist, hails from a distinguished musical family, with his formative years shaped by his father, the renowned violinist Christos Polyzoides. Born in Graz, Polyzoides' early training laid a strong foundation, which he further honed under the tutelage of Harald Himmel and Franz Samohyl. His academic journey culminated in a soloist's diploma from the Vienna Music University, where he graduated with unanimous distinction.

Polyzoides' artistic development was enriched through master classes with legendary musicians such as Arthur Grumiaux, Christian Ferras, Wolfgang Marschner, and Max Rostal. His versatility as a performer is evident in his proficiency on both the violin and viola, and he plays a rare Italian violin crafted by Giovanni Paolo Maggini around 1630.
