Daniel Auber

Daniel-François-Esprit Auber, born in Caen, Normandy, in 1782, was a prominent French composer renowned for his significant contributions to the opera genre. Auber's musical journey began at a young age, showcasing his talent on the keyboard and composing his first string quartet by 1799. Throughout his career, he crafted numerous operas that captivated audiences, with notable works including "La Muette de Portici" (1828) and "Fra Diavolo" (1830).
