Byol Kang

Byol Kang is a captivating classical violinist, born in Salzburg, Austria, to a South Korean composer and a singer. Her musical journey began at the age of eight, and by twelve, she was already debuting in the prestigious Berlin Philharmonic. Kang's career is marked by a series of impressive accolades, including first prizes at the Schmolz and Bickenbach Competition and the Henri Marteau International Violin Competition. As a dedicated chamber musician, she has performed at renowned festivals across Germany and beyond, collaborating with esteemed musicians like pianist Lars Vogt. Kang's discography includes notable albums such as "Glière, Shostakovich & Hahn" and "Romantic Impressions: Works by Brahms, C. Schumann & Grieg." Currently, she serves as the concertmaster of the Deutsche Sinfonie Orchester Berlin, continuing to enchant audiences with her virtuosity and passion for music.
