Bonita Boyd is an acclaimed American flautist, soloist, and pedagogue, renowned for her captivating performances across five continents. Born in Pittsburgh and raised in Long Beach, California, Boyd's musical journey began under the tutelage of esteemed mentors like Maurice Sharp of the Cleveland Orchestra and Joseph Mariano, whom she succeeded as principal flutist of the Rochester Philharmonic at the remarkable age of 21.
