Belcea Quartet

The Belcea Quartet, formed in 1994 under the guidance of violinist Corina Belcea, has established itself as one of the world's most celebrated chamber music ensembles. Founded during their studies at the Royal College of Music, the quartet has been honed through coaching from esteemed groups such as the Chilingirian, Amadeus, and Alban Berg Quartets. Comprising Corina Belcea and Suyeon Kang on violins, Krzysztof Chorzelski on viola, and Antoine Lederlin on cello, the Belcea Quartet is renowned for its provocative and revitalising interpretations of classical repertoire, spanning the works of Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Mozart, and Schubert. Their performances are celebrated for their reckless audacity and cohesive metamorphic process, making them a standout in the chamber music scene.
