Aurélien Dumont
Aurélien Dumont is a French composer born in 1980 in Marcq-en-Baroeul, North France. Holding a doctorate in music composition from the prestigious SACRe programme of the École Normale Supérieure de Paris, Dumont brings a rich academic background to his work, including Masters degrees in art-therapy and musicology. His compositions span various genres, from musical theater to stage music, showcasing his versatility and innovative spirit. Notably, his works include "Grands défilés" (2011) and "La tristesse d'un paysage de nuit" (2013). Currently, Dumont serves as a Professor of Instrumental and Vocal Composition at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon, further cementing his influence in the contemporary music scene. His album "While" (2015), performed by the Ensemble Orchestral Contemporain under the direction of Pierre-André Valade, offers a compelling exploration of his artistic vision.
