Alexander Prior

Alexander Prior is a dynamic British composer and conductor, currently serving as the Music Director of the Eugene Symphony. His journey in music began early, studying at the prestigious Saint Petersburg Conservatory from the age of 13 to 17. Prior made history as the youngest artistic leader of a major North American orchestra when he became the Chief Conductor of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra at just 23 years old. Known for his neurodivergent perspective and passion for the transformative power of music, Prior is dedicated to enriching communities and lives through his art. His international and critically acclaimed experience spans over 19 years, making him a standout figure in the world of classical music.
