Following in his father Jimmy Skidmore's musical footsteps, Alan began his professional career at the young age of 16. With a career spanning over six decades, Alan has become a celebrated figure in the jazz and blues scenes, known for his virtuosic playing on the tenor and soprano saxophones, as well as his work on flutes and drums.
