Akira Eguchi is a renowned Japanese pianist, composer, and educator, captivating global audiences with his versatile performances as a soloist, chamber musician, and harpsichordist. Born in Tokyo in 1963, Eguchi's musical journey began at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, where he studied composition and earned his master's degree in piano. He further honed his craft at The Juilliard School, obtaining a Master's Degree in Piano Performance.
Currently, Eguchi divides his time between New York and Tokyo, serving as a Professor at Tokyo University of the Arts and teaching at Senzoku-Gakuen Music College.
