About Artur Erikson

Artur Erikson, born on 5 March 1918 in Skutskär, Sweden, was a captivating singer and preacher who left an indelible mark on the Swedish Christian music scene. Active within the Mission Covenant Church of Sweden, Erikson's soulful voice and heartfelt performances resonated deeply with audiences. His repertoire spanned Christian hymns and songs set to the poetry of renowned Swedish poet Dan Andersson. Erikson's most notable release, "Till min syster," climbed the charts, spending 12 weeks in the top 10 of Svensktoppen in 1970. His discography includes beloved albums like "25 år på grammofon" and "Andliga önskesånger," showcasing his enduring musical legacy. Erikson passed away on 10 August 2000 in Gagnef, leaving behind a rich musical heritage that continues to inspire.
