Milan Turkovic, born in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1939, is a renowned Austrian classical bassoonist and conductor who has captivated audiences worldwide with his virtuosity and artistry. Hailing from an Austro-Croatian family, Turkovic was raised and educated in Vienna, where his musical journey began at a young age. He joined the prestigious Vienna Symphony Orchestra early in his career, quickly establishing himself as one of the most prominent bassoon soloists of his generation.
