Born Joyce Kay Lightfoot, she began her educational pursuits in Singapore before earning her undergraduate degree at Northwestern University. Her career is marked by a diverse range of experiences, from her extensive work in lymphatic drainage massage, high frequency, and facial therapy, which she has practiced since 1985, to her role as Chief at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Facilities and Environmental Quality. Joyce's artistic endeavors extend to writing, where she aims to inspire through her books and articles. Her spiritual journey is also significant, as she studied at the Claremont School of Theology and Simmons College, and served as The Reverend Joyce A. Long at the United Church of Christ.
