Celebrate 15 years of Courteeners' iconic debut album "St. Jude" with this special anniversary edition, remastered and packed with bonus content. Originally released in April 2008, "St. Jude" quickly established the Manchester band as a force to be reckoned with in the indie and Madchester scenes. This anniversary edition, released on January 13, 2023, via UMC (Universal Music Catalogue), includes the original 12-track album, remastered for optimal sound quality, along with original bonus tracks and additional rare acoustic versions.
The album features three Top 40 singles: "Not Nineteen Forever," "What Took You So Long?", and "No You Didn't, No You Don't." Produced by Stephen Street, "St. Jude" was awarded the 'Guardian First Album Award' upon its initial release. The anniversary edition also includes a brand new single, "It’ll Take More Than A Weekend Away To Fix This Mess," released in September 2022.
To mark the occasion, Courteeners will perform a massive hometown show at Heaton Park in Manchester on June 9, 2023, where they will play "St. Jude" in full alongside other hits. The album is available in numerous physical formats, including limited edition grey coloured vinyl, standard 180g LP, and a special zoetrope picture disc exclusive to Blood Records, hand-numbered to order.
