Max Richter returns to his monumental eight-hour composition SLEEP with a new EP, SLEEP: Tranquility Base, released on Deutsche Grammophon. This 31-minute collection of sixteen tracks offers a fresh perspective on the original SLEEP material, incorporating a more electronic approach. The title references the historic 1969 moon landing site, adding a celestial dimension to the immersive experience.

SLEEP: Tranquility Base is a blend of neoclassical, minimalist, classical, and ambient genres, showcasing Max Richter's signature style. The EP is a reimagining of themes from the original SLEEP, providing a glimpse into the composer's evolving artistic vision.
