Kuldeep Manak, born Latif Mohammed Khan on November 15, 1951, was a legendary Indian singer renowned for his mastery of the rare Punjabi music genre, kali, also known as kalian or kaliyan. With his distinctive high-pitched, powerful voice, Manak captivated audiences and became one of the greatest Punjabi artists of all time. Hailing from a Mirasi caste family in the village of Jalal, Bhatinda district, his musical journey was nothing short of extraordinary. His repertoire includes timeless classics like "Tere Nak Da Koka" and "Le Gai Meri Jind Kad," showcasing his unparalleled talent.
