Michael Philip Mossman is a celebrated American jazz trumpeter, composer, and arranger, born on October 12, 1959, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With a career spanning over four decades, Mossman has been a prominent figure on the international jazz scene since the age of 17. Known for his dynamic performances and innovative compositions, he has collaborated with a vast array of jazz legends, including Anthony Braxton and Roscoe Mitchell.
