Sergei Nakariakov, renowned for his virtuosity and breath-like mastery of the trumpet, presents "Metamorphosis," a captivating journey through the realms of chamber music. Released on July 21, 2023, via Luiza Records, this album is a testament to Nakariakov's artistic prowess and his ability to transcend traditional boundaries. The album features Nakariakov's unique arrangements of classical concertos, performed on the flugelhorn, a instrument known for its rich, mellow tone.

"Metamorphosis" showcases Nakariakov's interpretations of works by Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, reimagined for the flugelhorn. The album opens with Haydn's Oboe Concerto in C Major, transformed into a spirited allegro on the flugelhorn, followed by a serene andante and a lively rondo. The second half of the album is dedicated to Mozart's Horn Concerto No. 4 in E-Flat Major, each movement meticulously arranged for the flugelhorn by Nakariakov himself.

Accompanied by the Irish Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Jörg Widmann, Nakariakov's performances are nothing short of breathtaking.
