He played on a specially crafted instrument that amplified his distinctive sound, captivating audiences worldwide. André's influence extended beyond his performances; he served as a professor at the prestigious Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique and was the honorary president of the Concours International de Quintette de Cuivres de Narbonne.
