Massimo Faraò, born in Genoa, Italy, on May 16, 1965, is a renowned jazz pianist whose career spans over three decades. Known as "the blackest of Italian pianists," Faraò's journey began with studying under Maestro Flavio Crivelli and collaborating with local musicians, notably bassist Piero Leveratto. His international breakthrough came in 1983 when he performed in the United States with legendary musicians like Red Holloway and Albert 'Tootie' Heath. Faraò's versatility shines through his diverse repertoire, encompassing post-bop, soul jazz, Latin jazz, and swing, among others.
