Christina Landshamer, born in Munich in 1977, is a renowned German operatic soprano celebrated for her versatility and captivating performances on the world's most prestigious concert stages. Her journey in music began at the Munich Academy of Music and Drama, where she studied under the guidance of Angelica Vogel and later with Konrad Richter. Landshamer's repertoire spans a wide range of genres, including choral and requiem works, showcasing her vocal prowess and emotional depth. She made her American operatic debut in Lyric Opera's production of "Der Rosenkavalier" and has since graced stages such as Glyndebourne and the Bavarian State Opera. Her discography includes notable albums like "Telemann: Ino & Late Works" and "Beethoven: Fidelio," reflecting her commitment to both historical and contemporary musical expressions. Beyond her stage presence, Landshamer is also dedicated to education, currently serving as a Professor of Singing at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts.
