About Jean-Philippe Collard
Jean-Philippe Collard is a renowned French pianist celebrated for his masterful interpretations of the works of Gabriel Fauré and Camille Saint-Saëns. Born on January 27, 1948, in Mareuil-sur-Ay, Collard hails from a musical family and began his piano journey at the tender age of five. His early prowess led him to the Conservatoire de Grenoble and later to Paris, where he studied under the esteemed Pierre Sancan, earning his Premier Prix de piano in 1964. Collard's international career took off with victories at the Concours Long-Thibaud in 1969 and the Concours Cziffra in 1970.
Throughout his career, Jean-Philippe Collard has captivated audiences worldwide with his epicurean approach to music, infusing his performances with a rich palette of colors and emotions.
