Born in New York City on October 18, 1955, Justin has carved out his own distinguished path in the world of classical music. He earned his Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees in composition from the prestigious Juilliard School, where he studied under renowned composers Vincent Persichetti, David Diamond, and Roger Sessions.
Dello Joio's compositions span a wide range of genres, including orchestral, chamber, vocal, and solo works. His music has been praised for its sparkling craft and urgent expression, with notable figures like John Corigliano and Witold Lutoslawski lauding his talent.
