Joan Chamorro is a versatile Spanish jazz musician and educator, renowned for his mastery of multiple instruments including saxophone, clarinet, flute, cornet, and double bass. Born in 1962, Chamorro's passion for music has led him to found and direct the acclaimed Sant Andreu Jazz Band, a project that began as a simple music class and has grown into a celebrated ensemble featuring young musicians aged 6 to 21. His innovative teaching methods have nurtured a new generation of jazz talent, making a significant impact on the music scene in Barcelona and beyond.
