Adriana Hölszky, born in Bucharest on June 30, 1953, is a renowned Romanian-born German composer and pianist who has made a significant impact on the contemporary classical music scene. Since 1976, she has been based in Germany, where she has honed her craft and gained international recognition. Hölszky's musical journey began with composition studies under the guidance of Ștefan Niculescu from 1972 to 1976. Her work has been featured in prestigious events such as the Musica Viva Festival, showcasing her unique voice in the world of classical music. As a twin sister to Monika Hölszky-Wiedemann, music runs deeply in her family. Hölszky's discography is extensive, with notable releases that highlight her versatility and depth as a composer and pianist. Since 2000, she has been a professor of composition at the Mozarteum University, inspiring the next generation of musicians. Her compositions, ranging from solo pieces to concertos, offer a rich and immersive experience for any music enthusiast.
