Jo Ganter is a renowned Scottish visual artist, born in Yorkshire in 1963, who has been based in Glasgow since the early 1990s. After moving to Scotland to study art, she graduated with a Fine Art MA (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh College of Art in 1988. Her artistic journey was further enriched by her time as a scholar at The British School of Rome in 1989/90. Ganter is celebrated for her work with traditional and new media, creating original limited edition etchings, relief prints, and film animations. Her collaborations with musicians to produce graphic scores are particularly noteworthy, blending visual art with the auditory experience.
