Göran Fristorp, born Karl Göran Fristorp in Örebro, Sweden, was a beloved singer and songwriter known for his heartfelt Swedish ballads. His musical journey took a significant turn when he, along with Claes af Geijerstam, formed the duo Malta and won the Melodifestivalen 1973 with their hit song "Sommarn som aldrig säger nej." This victory earned them the opportunity to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1973, where they secured a respectable fifth place. Throughout his career, Fristorp's music captivated audiences, and he even had the honor of serving as the pre-act for the Dutch group Ekseption during their German tour from 1974 to 1975. His discography includes a variety of albums that showcase his talent and passion for music, such as "Göran Fristorp sjunger Nils Ferlin" and "Göran Fristorp sjunger Edfelt."
