Paul Hillier is a distinguished English conductor, music director, and baritone, renowned for his expertise in both early and contemporary classical music. With a particular affinity for the works of Steve Reich and Arvo Pärt, Hillier has made significant contributions to the choral and minimalist genres. He is the co-founder of the acclaimed Hilliard Ensemble and Theatre of Voices, and has served as the director of the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir. Currently, he holds the positions of Chief Conductor of Ars Nova (Copenhagen) and Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of Chamber Choir Ireland. Hillier's interpretations of vocal music, especially Pärt's, are celebrated for their depth and innovation, making him a key figure in the classical music scene.
