About Nick Drake

Nick Drake, an English musician and accomplished acoustic guitarist, left an indelible mark on the folk and singer-songwriter genres despite his brief career. Born into a creative family in 1948, Drake signed to Island Records at the tender age of 20 while still a student at the University of Cambridge. His debut album, "Five Leaves Left," was released in 1969, followed by "Bryter Layter" in 1971 and the hauntingly beautiful "Pink Moon" in 1972. Although his albums did not achieve commercial success during his lifetime, Drake's introspective lyrics and delicate guitar work have since garnered critical acclaim and a devoted following.

Drake's life was marked by both talent and tragedy. He grappled with mental illness, and sadly, took his own life at the age of 26 in 1974.
