Album Description
Bon Jovi's seventh studio album, Crush, marked a triumphant return for the iconic rock band, released on 13 June 2000 by Island Records. Following a five-year hiatus after their 1995 album These Days, Crush saw the band rediscover their party-rock roots and enter the new millennium with style. The album's 12 tracks, including the rousing opening single 'It's My Life', strike a perfect balance between Bon Jovi's early hard pop-rock sound and their matured, East Jersey-inspired outlaw spirit.
Produced by Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, and Luke Ebbin, Crush features a mix of energetic and introspective songs, such as 'Say It Isn't So', 'Thank You For Loving Me', and 'Captain Crash & The Beauty Queen From Mars'. With its 58-minute duration, the album takes listeners on a journey through a range of emotions and themes, showcasing the band's ability to craft catchy, anthemic rock songs.
Crush was a critical and commercial success, earning the band their first Grammy nomination. The album's release was followed by a highly successful tour, cementing Bon Jovi's status as one of the world's leading rock acts. With Crush, Bon Jovi proved that they were still a force to be reckoned with, and the album remains a fan favourite to this day.
