About Sepultura

Sepultura, formed in 1984 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, is a heavy metal band that has left an indelible mark on the global music scene. Founded by brothers Max and Igor Cavalera, Sepultura rose to prominence as a major force in the thrash, groove, and death metal genres during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Their innovative sound, which blends elements of alternative metal, world music, nu metal, progressive rock, hardcore punk, and industrial metal, has earned them a dedicated following worldwide.

Throughout their career, Sepultura has sold over 15 million albums, making them the most successful Brazilian heavy metal band of all time.
