Sepultura, formed in 1984 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, is a heavy metal band that has left an indelible mark on the global music scene. Founded by brothers Max and Igor Cavalera, Sepultura rose to prominence as a major force in the thrash, groove, and death metal genres during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
